Kravitz dated French vocalist and model Vanessa Paradis from 1992 to 1996.[77] [78] He began dating Brazilian model Adriana Lima in 2001,[79] and they lived together before becoming engaged in 2002.[79] The engagement was called off in April 2003.[79] [80] [81] Lima was featured in the music video for Kravitz's 2002 unmarried "Yesterday Is Gone (My Dearest Kay)".[82] He then briefly dated and was engaged to Australian extra Nicole Kidman from 2003 to 2004.[83]

Kravitz identifies himself as a Christian in a religious sense "through choice" but states, "I'm too a Jew. Information technology'due south however to me."[84] During another interview, he stated, "I'1000 half Jewish, I'grand half black, I await in-between."[85] He too notes that spirituality "has been an important issue in [his] growth", citing his upbringing past parents of different faiths.[86] Such spirituality is prominently featured in many of his songs, such as the lyrics on his album Baptism, and a tattoo on his dorsum which is inscribed with "My Eye Belongs to Jesus Christ".[87] In 2011, he stated that his 2005 religious commitment to remain chaste until remarriage was unchanged. In a 2014 interview with Men's Wellness, however, he reconsidered his previous stance.[88] [89] [xc]

In 2017, Kravitz sold his Miami Beach home for 16.5 one thousand thousand dollars.[91] He currently owns a firm in Paris,[92] a farm chemical compound in Brazil,[93] and a trailer with the surrounding land in the Bahama islands.[94] He follows Veganism[95] with a primarily raw vegan diet,[94] and uses his land in Brazil and the Bahamas to abound his own food.[94] He is a member of the Canadian charity Artists Confronting Racism, with whom he worked on a radio PSA.[96]
